Data Management and Analysis |
|
A Data Management System, at its core, is a centralized database or system of databases
containing valuable information. Along with the database is the supporting user interfaces
and reporting systems necessary to update and extract information from the database. The
interfaces and reporting systems can be implemented as a client/server software application
using standard programming languages and tools or as a web based application using web
development tools and techniques. Web based systems are typically implemented much faster,
cost much less, and are easier to modify and update. Web based solutions also provide all
the functionality achieved by the client/server software implementation. Data Management
Systems are used in every industry to improve efficiency, accuracy, organization, etc.
Deploying the Data Management System
We provide custom solutions when necessary, but typically the Data Management Systems are either
installed on an approved customer provided PC, a PC that we purchase and configure for the system,
or the customer can have the system hosted on our secured servers. By hosting the system on our
servers, you will have secured access from any computer with an internet connection. Our servers
use 128 bit encryption, Cisco Firewalls, multi-homed internet connections, redundant drives, and
perform daily back-ups which are taken offsite. On Data Management Systems installed on the customers
PC or on a PC we provide, we configure the systems for redundancy and security. We also advise and
educate the customer on to keep the Data Management System safe and secure.
Data Analysis
Data Analysis provides valuable information to help customers make better decisions. It is the process
of sorting through vast amounts of information to find and present the user with only the necessary
information while also providing the information in an easy to understand format. With Data Analysis,
more informed decisions can be made very quickly.
Data Analysis can be applied to any area where data can be gathered. For example, many industries are
using data analysis to gain more information about some of the following areas:
Customer Profiling
Employee Performance
Product Performance
Security
|
|
Web Site Activity
Fraud Detection
Forecasting
Trend Identification
